Jerry Steinberg has taught English and French as second languages to children and adults since 1968 in Ontario and British Columbia, Canada and has used every one of the games in his book in his language classes over his long career. Many of the games came from his childhood (War, Fish!, Slides and Ladders, variations of Xs and Os [Tic-Tac-Toe, Naughts and Crosses], etc.). Others were learned and developed over his 46+ years of teaching.
