Jeffrey “JJ” Madison is a Harvard-educated airline pilot, aviation safety expert, CFI, mentor pilot and author. A pilot since 1995, he is currently an airline pilot for a regional carrier. JJ's an ATP, CFI/MEI and has over 1,500 hours dual given. He's also a helicopter pilot who has flown into more than 250 GA airports throughout most of the Lower 48. JJ examined thousands of NASA reports for his column, "Human Factors, and is the only aviation safety expert who analyzes NASA reports for the benefit of the pilot community. He is a sought-after aviation speaker who has been featured on podcasts and public radio. All proceeds from book sales go to fund aerospace scholarships for Civil Air Patrol squadrons, under-resourced flight schools and STEM organizations, through the Victor Kilo Fund, which he co-founded with his wife.
