Jean-François Paquin is a Quebec author whose writing explores the intimate territories of time, memory, and the human condition.

A poet and novelist, he has created a literary universe where everyday life meets the infinite, and where the simplest things become gateways to larger questions.

His poetry is characterized by a free, minimalist style, attentive to silence, breath, and what often remains invisible at first glance.

Nature, the seasons of Quebec, light, the passage of time, and the cosmos all hold an important place in his work.

His poetry collections explore both our place in the world and our fragility within it.

In A Silence Full of Stars, he brings the intimate and the cosmic together through a series of short poetic fragments.

With Cosmos, he turns his gaze toward the universe, searching within it for a reflection of the human experience.

In At the Height of Day, he returns to the Quebec landscape and the changing seasons through minimalist poetry inspired by haiku.

His writing, however, extends beyond poetry. He is also the author of novels and stories, exploring different ways of telling stories and questioning the world around us.

Across these different forms, the same desire remains: to observe, to understand, and to put into words what might otherwise go unnoticed.

Writing primarily in French, Jean-François Paquin is also bringing selected works to English-speaking readers through translation.

His literary universe exists somewhere between the infinitely close and the infinitely vast, between what we are and what lies beyond us.

His is a literature of observation, questioning, and wonder.
