Jason Ward is a creative director, photographer, entrepreneur, and educator who has spent more than two decades building a career at the intersection of creativity, business, and purpose. As the founder of Storm the Beach Advertising Inc., he has led national-level creative campaigns while mentoring others to pursue work that aligns with who they were created to be.
Jason’s mission is simple but ambitious: to help people recognize the purpose God has been weaving through their lives all along. Through teaching, speaking, photography, and now writing, he challenges people to stop measuring their lives by comparison or pressure and instead pay attention to the moments, passions, and convictions that quietly reveal their calling. Find Your Gold Thread grew directly out of the questions he has asked students, clients, and himself for years.

Since launching his independent advertising boutique in 2004, Jason has produced TV commercials, print campaigns, billboards, and digital media for clients across local and national markets. He taught photography and video production at the college level for 10 years and launched Jason Ward Photography in 2019. His landscape work has been featured extensively in Oklahoma Today magazine—including cover images—and in the Oklahoma Tourism state travel guide and calendar. He is an IRMA Award recipient and a real estate developer whose luxury short-term rental properties in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, rank among top performers on Airbnb and have been featured in regional tourism campaigns.

Born in rural eastern Kentucky, the son of a coal miner and a vocational rehabilitation secretary, Jason earned a BA in art from the University of Louisville and an MS in mass communication from Virginia Commonwealth University’s Brandcenter. He now lives on an 80-acre farm in southeastern Oklahoma with his wife, Kelsey, and their three children. A lifelong jack-of-all-trades, Jason dabbles in everything from woodworking and home building to music, filmmaking, astrophotography, and writing—always chasing curiosity with faith and humor.
