Formerly Janie McCann, I am now Janie Whitaker. Residing in the country in rural Mississippi, I live with my husband and lots of animals. My children are all grown. Homeschooling them was my main occupation for many years. Those wonderful experiences help me create stories. I'm not sure why most people write a book. For me, it was a calling. I knew I was supposed to write. I believe I know things that will help other people. Not writing could possibly be failing to help people I don't even know. Time will tell if this is the case. In so many ways, this is not entirely up to me. I have obeyed the call. I plan to continue pursuing God and His plan for my life. If in any small way, I can help others figure out how to know God in a deeper and more meaningful way, I consider that to be complete success. A contented life is pretty simple. Pursue God. Set your priorities in eternity. Discard anything that holds you back. Move forward with intent to conquer your dark side and grow your spiritual side. Learn from as many people as you can. You don't have time to make all the mistakes, so, skip the ones you have opportunity to skip. Most importantly, learn to love. This happens easily as you learn more about how loving our heavenly Father is.
