Born in Maine, and a native to New England, Jane is mostly a self-taught artist and has painted throughout her life. She started sketching at the age of 12 and, with encouragement from her mother and artistic grandmother, took her first oil painting class when she was 14. Jane's interests, in addition to painting lighthouses, portraits, and inspirational works, have recently included writing and illustrating childrens' books. Her latest writing and illustrating endeavors are two new books, which will be released in the summer of 2016 - "What Color is it?" and "It's Counting Time with Number Rhymes". Jane currently lives in New Hampshire with her husband.
