Hello, I’m James D. Ellison, author. I have always lived in New England where we have the good fortune of experiencing 4 perfect seasons each year. I live at the original Ellison family homestead that has been a cornerstone of inspiration for my writing career. Here at home, I am surrounded by the region’s picturesque landscapes. It’s like living inside the set of The Sound of Music. Actually, it does feel to me like “the hills are alive” here sometimes! I feel the serenity and beauty of this place fuels my passion for the environment, sustainable living and good health. I would hate the thought of anything damaging this natural beauty. With extensive experience in eco-friendly farming and household efficiency, I love sharing sustainability concepts in my Sustainable Series, including "Your Sustainable Household," "Your Sustainable Small Farm," “Your Sustainable Small Farm Business Document Workbook,” and a creative non-alcoholic drink recipe book entitled “The Non-Alcoholic Drinker,” humorously introduced as "Your Sustainable Sobriety." My goal is to inspire readers to embrace healthier, greener lifestyles. I also enjoy gardening, exploring nature trails with my dogs, Sam and Edna, and mentoring others in sustainable habits. My priority is to consistently guide readers toward well-being and environmental stewardship. I am particularly inspired by the enthusiasm of the younger generation eager to get their hands into the soil and cultivate a connection to the earth. One of my central aims in life is to pass on the legacy of environmental respect and agricultural sustainability to future generations.
