James Allan Krause, PhD is a Canadian writer, songwriter, playwright, researcher and retired professor. A third generation author, his family has lived in Canada for over 200 years. Krause has written six books. Three are on the topic of Vancouver Island history. The first, "The Life and Times of the Comox Valley", (vol 1) was desktop published and a local bestseller. A trilogy of audiobooks with original music is his current passion. "Wetion", (2nd edn) historical fiction based on fact, was published in 2025. "The Pilot and the Parrot" (2026) is contemporary fiction and "The Gardens of Venus" (2027) science fiction. Krause has been sharing online a template for creating these in a six-part series called, “The Weme Weaver of Audiobook Musical Production Project.” Krause gained experience as a professional writer and international teaching experience online as a professor of marketing and other topics. His research interests are consumer behaviour, experimental fiction and migration.
