Jake Didinsky is an autistic, queer, non-binary writer, DJ, and disability advocate based in the Philadelphia area. They use they/them and he/him pronouns interchangeably. Born in 1993, Jake grew up navigating systems that weren't built for minds like theirs — from IEP meetings to commission hearings to workplaces that demanded proof of competence before offering a seat at the table. These experiences became the foundation for their philosophical framework: a lens for thinking about ethics, worth, and what we owe each other. Jake works as a proud member of the Talk About It Company. Over the years, they have served in various advocacy and leadership roles, including their current position as President of the American Outlaws DC chapter, the U.S. Soccer supporters group. A DJ for six years, Jake spins tech house and circuit music and co-owns a DJ brand with their chosen brother Phoenix. They've also worked as a sports journalist on and off for several years, covering the U.S. Men's and Women's National Teams and appearing in interviews with BBC World News. Their love of systems and patterns extends beyond philosophy — they're a devoted Latin nerd (five years of study, elected Secretary of the Virginia Junior Classical League) and a relentless follower of Philly sports and politics. Jake lives with mitochondrial disease, ADHD, and the kind of brain that won't stop asking questions at 3 AM. They credit their grandmother — who taught them "No Surrender" before she passed — and their chosen family for helping them become who they are.
