Jae Waller grew up in northern British Columbia, Canada. She has a joint BFA in creative writing and fine art from the University of Northern British Columbia and Emily Carr University of Art + Design. She lives in Melbourne, Australia, and works as a novelist and freelance artist. Her YA series, The Call of the Rift, combines her love of fantasy, romance, and history. The first book, Flight, received a starred review from Kirkus Reviews, who described it as an “intricately lush and well-crafted new fantasy that deserves (and demands) a sequel.”
