Jacqueline was born in Durant, OK, and is now a displaced Okie with a bit of Choctaw blood living in Idaho. Since her father was a bit of a nomad, she got the travelling bug early on and incorporates these places in her stories. And as a Jacque of all trades, some of her employment opportunities may be found in her writing as well. She says that if she were stranded on a beautiful, always sunny, beach-filled island where the temperature was always around 70 degrees (anyone know of a place like that?), she would take her favorite authors along for the ride: Kathleen E. Woodiwiss and June Lund Shiplett, Stephen King, Patricia Cornwell, Tess Gerritsen, Brooklyn Hudson, Tami Hoag, Lisa Jackson, James Patterson, Sydney Sheldon, and Janet Evanovich. Of course she would have to have access to wifi for her kindle so she can keep finding great indie authors to read, too. Her first book, Wilderness Heart, she published in March 2011, and in December 2011 it was a recommended read on USA Today's Happy Ever Blog. She loves to hear from people and fans of her writing. You can connect with her here: iam14choctaw@hotmail.com or follow her on twitter @jacquehopkins.
