"I looked at the small cardboard box that contained carefully wrapped trinkets - belt buckles, pocketknives, broken watches, and coins. It was most of what I inherited when my father passed, and I wondered about the stories behind these items that were precious to him. Stories that would never be told. It was then that I determined to write down what mattered to me. Something that would last." J. P. S. Stalder is a California native, who currently lives in the greater Kansas City, Missouri area. A writer and avid reader from a young age, his passion for language, people, culture, and philosophy led him first to a degree studying rhetoric and political science, which was followed by a career in the government sector. After the passing of his father in January 2023, Stalder dedicated himself to pursuing writing to leave behind something positive for his daughter and family.
