J.D. Evergreen writes dark fantasy about angry women, dangerous magic, morally questionable decisions, and sapphic yearning at extremely inconvenient times.

When she isn’t emotionally tormenting fictional characters, she can usually be found avoiding marketing, drinking coffee she forgot she made, arguing with imaginary people about plot logic, or insisting that this chapter absolutely does need another monster.

She lives in Australia with her wife, two tiny chaos gremlins, an unreasonable number of ongoing projects, and the persistent belief that everything will probably be fine if she just writes one more chapter.

Her books contain rebellion, monsters, women with swords, women looking at other women for slightly too long, and consequences.

Mostly consequences.
