JC Clark’s Hannah Hart series will entertain murder mystery fans who like being immersed in characters’ lives, decisions, emotions, and relationships. Readers can follow investigations and clues along with PI Hannah Hart and Boston detective Mike Gavin as they discover the facts and guilt. Research into drug-enabled sexual assaults and the recently solved Gilgo Beach murders informed The Incident, a psychological thriller and fictionalized mash-up of actual events. Pickering Wharf in Salem is the backdrop for Sanctuary where a fire appears to be a tragic accident until a body with a crushed skull is found in the main salon of a sailboat. In Vengeful Heart, the morning after a wedding reception in Concord's Colonial Inn, the groom's body is found in the room used as the morgue during the American Revolution. His wrists are tied to the bedposts and the bride is accused of murder. Before writing mysteries, JC Clark was a publicist in the General Electric New Bureau (famous for employing Kurt Vonnegut), followed by public relations and marketing communications in the high tech industry. She studied Advanced Fiction in the Westport Writers Workshop for several years to help transition to crime fiction. JC Clark lives in Redding, CT, but spent many years in Massachusetts. An interest in our country’s history contributes to her plots and settings. She’s hooked on the Robert Galbraith’s Cormoran Strike series, but loves reading any crime fiction if well-plotted and credible. Her home is her other passion where she has a “writing shed” with a view of a Japanese garden. REVIEWS “The Incident is fantastic! I wasn't prepared for such a well written book. The story unfolds nicely. I couldn't put it down and although I knew of the twist at the end, it still was a shocker.” “Characters, plot, setting - all well-wrought and left me wanting more. I hope to see investigators Hannah and Mike in another story soon!”
