My name is Mercy Young, I’m 12 years old, and up until a couple days ago, my life has been pretty uneventful. But it’s 1775, and I live in Lexington, which apparently God Almighty has deemed fit to be the birthplace of a revolution!

The Young kids are back in the second year of the Revolutionary War, but instead of the war coming to them, they hit the road and join the caravan of wives and children following the Continental Army.

The 5th year of the war finds the Young family divided between the army camp and Cambridge as the Continentals face the British on a new southern front.
