Rev. Msgr. J. Brian Bransfield served as the General Secretary of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops from 2015 to 2020. A priest of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, Msgr. Bransfield received his doctorate in moral theology from the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family. Prior to his service at the USCCB, he served as professor of Moral Theology at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary. He is the author of the best-selling books: The Human Person: According to John Paul II, Living the Beatitudes: A Journey to Life in Christ, Meeting Jesus Christ: Meditations on the Word, Life Everlasting: The Mystery and the Promise, and Overcoming Pornography Addiction: A Spiritual Solution.
