Isabella Connor is the pseudonym for two internet buddies who have never physically met, and who live on different continents - one in North America, the other in Europe. Val O is a teacher, and Liv T an NHS worker. Beneath an Irish Sky was the first of a planned quartet of novels set in the same area, but stand-alone stories. However, at the publisher's request, An Irish Promise's location was moved from Cheshire to Ireland, and the title was changed from 'A Winter Promise' - An Irish Promise owes its name to the Claddagh, which plays a major part in the story. Beneath an Irish Sky is a family drama with some romance thrown in. When a father and his 20yr old son meet for the first time the relationship is strained, to say the least, but they share a joint wish - to learn the truth about the past. An Irish Promise is the story of a bullied school girl and the effect it has not only on the girl and her family, but also on the bullies themselves. It asks the question, can revenge ever be the answer.
