Iran Nazario serves as the Principal Owner of Nazario Motivation, LLC and has over three decades of experience in program management, gang prevention, youth outreach, youth engagement, and community support. He has made significant contributions to fostering positive change. A recognized expert in gang prevention and mediation, Iran has demonstrated exceptional leadership in managing staff and programs, pioneering the inclusion of formerly incarcerated individuals as valuable community resources. His establishment, development, and oversight of numerous violence reduction programs continue to make a lasting impact. Iran's expertise extends to training and presenting for various youth service agencies, court support services, schools, and other organizations on both local and national levels. As a motivational speaker, consultant, and adept trainer, he specializes in community crisis response, violence intervention, and youth and community engagement. His strategic approach to overcoming obstacles and fostering success has benefited programs, communities, academic institutions, and organizations in the realm of human and social services. Actively involved in initiatives promoting social justice and racial equity, Iran serves on the Wethersfield, Connecticut Greater Good Collective and the CT Police Officer Standards and Training Council (POST). He remains committed to advocating for the successful reintegration of the formerly incarcerated into society and continues his mission to bring peace to his community. As the founder and CEO of The Peace Center of Connecticut, Iran oversees operations and programs dedicated to youth and adult leadership development, community engagement and support, community awareness, consulting, and resource sharing, serving as a beacon of hope for Hartford and communities across New England. His publications include his memoir Rage to Peace, aimed at inspiring positive transformation in readers' lives and the co-authored poetry book Bullets into Bells, which sheds light on the impact of gun violence in Connecticut.
