Nonfiction writer. Vice Representative Director of Clear Light, a voluntary organization addressing cannabis issues, and Producer of the Tokyo International Cannabis Film Festival. While attending university, he worked as a stage producer, encountering folk music and dance from Japan and abroad as well as rock music, and spent his days touring nationwide. Alongside this work, he began writing and made his debut in 1999 with Mysterious Travel Guide: We Journey Through the Mystical (Yamato Publishing). Since then, he has written and lectured extensively on themes including cannabis, drugs, spirituality, and street culture. Having traveled widely to Jamaica, India, New York, Tuvalu, and other places, he draws on firsthand cultural experiences to explore cannabis, spirituality, and the intersection of urban and natural environments. An expert on cannabis, he has advocated for legal reform since the 1980s and continues to investigate the potential of the cannabis plant to improve the environment and revitalize communities.
