Living outside the vibrant city of New Orleans, my world revolves around my incredible family – my husband and three children. In my journey as a registered nurse, I've been lucky to gather eight years of experience, with a significant portion of that time spent in the realm of hospice care. Through these experiences, I've managed to glean some insights into the intricate world of healthcare. Online, I go by the name "Nurse Hadley," where I try my best to share the moving stories that have touched me deeply during my tenure as a hospice nurse. Beyond the nursing realm, I am very proud to be an author. My book, "The In-Between: Unforgettable Encounters During Life's Final Moments," managed to find its way onto the New York Times bestseller list for over two months. In this book, I've attempted to intertwine the poignant stories, life lessons, and the wisdom my patients have shared with me. My aspiration is that the book not only captures the essence of end-of-life care but also highlights the art of living life to the fullest. Presently, my heart and soul are deeply invested in a project that resonates with my passion – establishing a nonprofit respite hospice house. It's a dream that envisions a serene sanctuary for families to gather and commemorate the lives of their dear ones in an environment of support and solace.
