Greg Haddrick is a resident of the Southern Highlands in rural NSW, Australia on Gundungurra Country. He had a long career in screen and audio drama before turning to authorship. The moral and legal ambiguities surrounding the shifting definitions of crime and justice in different circumstances and subcultures has been a recurring theme in his work. The recent audio series he co-created and co-wrote for BBC Sounds and BBC Radio 4, Central Intelligence became the #1 scripted audio series in the UK. Most recently Greg co-wrote and produced Human Error a 6x1hr fictional crime TV drama series. Prior to that he co-wrote and Executive Produced the 6x1hr Netflix series Pine Gap. Greg was Head of Drama for Australian independent production company Screentime 2000-2017. In that executive role, Greg developed, financed, produced and delivered over 200 hours of drama. In total these shows received over thirty Logie and AFI/AACTA Awards and nominations across many categories, with the now-legendary first series of Underbelly becoming the highest rating drama series since OzTam ratings began. As a Writer/Producer (Showrunner) across this same period, Greg received seven Australian Writers Guild Awards, three AFI/AACTA Awards for Best Drama series/mini-series and an International Emmy nomination. Major Screentime dramas produced under Greg’s stewardship include: Wolf Creek (6x1hr), Janet King – (three 8x1hr seasons), Anzac Girls (6x1hr), Bikie Wars (6x1hr), Crownies (22x1hr), cloudstreet (6x1hr), False Witness (2x2hrs), Underbelly (S1-6, 2008-2015), The Society Murders (telemovie), The Incredible Journey of Mary Bryant (2x2hr), Jessica (2x2hr), MDA (S1-3 2002-2005) and My Husband, My Killer (telemovie) Prior to 2000 Greg wrote and ran story and script departments for many Australian TV drama series and serials, beginning by writing the first five half-hour episodes of Home and Away in 1987.
