Glen Hellman writes tragicomic crime fiction about people who talk their way into rooms they have no business entering.
Before the novels, he was a turnaround CEO who walked into companies that were already on fire, and an angel investor who learned exactly how founders lie. Then he spent a decade as "Mr. Cranky," an investigative tech blogger whose reporting helped put people in federal prison. The bodies in his books are fictional. The greed is not.

He is the author of the nine-book Greg Newsome series, written in the tradition of Elmore Leonard, George V. Higgins, and Carl Hiaasen—books where the jokes arrive at the worst possible moment, because that's when people actually make them.

Glen is Distinguished Faculty at the University of Maryland's A. James Clark School of Engineering, an executive coach, and a CEO peer group facilitator. He has also been a performing songwriter and a stand-up comedian, a career that lasted exactly four sets.

He lives in Oakton, Virginia, with his wife Nancy, who edits everything he writes and is the reason any of it is readable.

Books by Glen Hellman include:

- "Intentional Leadership" - A non-fiction leadership guide
- "Intentionality" - How to lead while you're not in the room.
Fiction works combining tech startups, organized crime, and international intrigue:
- "Cyphers & Sighs"
- "Easy Was the Whole Problme"
The Greg Newsome Series:
- "Write to Die"
- "Turn Around & Die"
- "Cross My Heart & Hope to Die"
- "Due or Die"
- "Let it Die"
- "Time to Die"
- Coming Soon: "Louie 'The Bat'"
