Turtles find me. During sea turtle season, I cruise Ponce Inlet beach with Florida’s Volusia-Flagler Turtle Patrol. I'm also a writer for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach. My second novel, SNAKES OF ST. AUGUSTINE will be released by Regal House Publishing in September 2023. Read early reviews online at https://www.gingerpinholster.com/. My debut novel, CITY IN A FOREST, was published in September 2019. It received a gold award in the Florida Writers Association's 2020 Royal Palm Literary Awards competition. I earned my M.F.A. degree from Queens University of Charlotte and my B.A. in English from Eckerd College. ​My short stories and essays have been published by Atticus Review, The Northern Virginia Review, Eckerd Review, Blackheart Magazine, Crab Fat Magazine, Gravel Magazine, and Dying Dahlia Review, and in the book Boomtown. Long ago and far away, I was a journalist. I’ve completed two novels: CITY IN A FOREST and SNAKES OF ST. AUGUSTINE, and a third, ANGEL-DOG FINDS ME, is in the works.
