Gil Waugh is a genre-defying Canadian author whose fiction blends psychological suspense, crime, and speculative intrigue. Known for atmospheric novels like Mind Surfing and Evening Song: Òran Feasgair, his work explores fractured identities, hidden conspiracies, and the blurry lines between myth and reality. A poet, musician, and Scottish Gaelic speaker, Waugh draws on his diverse background as a former private investigator, commercial pilot, and IT architect to craft haunting, immersive narratives that span from modern Canada to the misty Highlands of Scotland. After a life-altering spinal cord injury in 1993, Waugh turned full-time to the arts. He has since performed internationally with the award-winning Celtic rock band Fiùran, taught Scottish Gaelic at the University of Ottawa, and appeared on TV programs such as Mystery Ink and The Destiny Files. A member of Crime Writers of Canada, he lives in Ottawa with his wife and children, where he continues to write, teach, and make music. Le gach deagh dhùrachd, Gil Waugh
