Gail Marlene Schwartz is a queer mom, a dual citizen, and pickleball champion of her household. Most recently she co-edited the collection Boyhood Reimagined: Stories of Queer Moms Raising Sons with Ada Malone. Her adult novel, Falling Through the Night (Demeter Press), won the National Indie Excellence Award and was a finalist for an Independent Publishers of New England book award. Other books include the middle grade novel, My Sister’s Girlfriend and a picture book, The Loudest Bark (both from Rebel Mountain Press), and a chapter book, Clementine in Quarantine (Facile a lire), all in collaboration with Lucie Gagnon. She is a founding editor of Hotch Potch Literature and Art, an international digital literary magazine that explores using artwork as prompts for short stories. Gail lives and writes in Ottawa, Ontario with her partner, visual artist Erin Needham, and her sometimes roommate, Alexi Gagnon-Schwartz.
