Gail Ingis is the author of two historical romance novels, The Memorable Mrs. Dempsey (formerly Indigo Sky) and The Unforgettable Miss Baldwin. Brooklyn born, look for her forthcoming memoir. She is a retired member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). Gail founded the Interior Design Institute (IDI) in 1981 and later merged it with Berkeley College. Besides her design work, she served the academic community as a professor in the arts, interior design, and history of architecture and design. She taught at IDI, the New York School of Interior Design, and several universities in the New York tri-state area. Her award-winning art has appeared in the New York Times and other publications. Gail is a noted art juror, primarily for Lockwood Mathews Mansion Museum, a USA Today award-winning museum in Norwalk, Connecticut, where she serves as trustee and art curator. She lives in Connecticut with her handsome husband. Together their favorite activities are tennis, gardening, Masterpiece Theatre, and Costco. Between them, the happy parents have five remarkably well-bred grown children, fifteen grandchildren, and two perfectly gorgeous great-grandchildren (and counting).
