Frank McKinney is a true modern-day Renaissance man who has redefined the limits of success through his every endeavor. His early years were not very promising, however: he spent seven stints in juvenile detention and, upon attending his fourth high school in four years (as he was asked to leave the first three), he earned his high school diploma with a 1.8 GPA. It would have been lower, but he received an A in creative writing. So, with fifty dollars in his pocket and without the benefit of further education, Frank left his native Indiana for Florida in search of his highest calling. Today, Frank's life is a testament to the power of aspirational thinking, inspirational imaging, and the ability to create a completely new reality. As a real estate artist, he has created and sold 44 oceanfront mansions on speculation, with an average price of fourteen million dollars. As a philanthro-capitalist, he has built 32 self-sustaining villages in Haiti over the last 22 years, providing more than 14,400 children and their families with homes, renewable food, and clean water, and the means to support themselves. A bestselling author, actor, and keynote speaker, he has written nine books in eight genres, starred in four movies, and keynoted before audiences of 10 to 10,000 around the world. Physically, Frank has pushed the limits of his body by racing in the Badwater 135-mile ultramarathon 12 times in the scorching 103-degree summer in Death Valley, California, a race referred to by National Geographic as “the world’s toughest footrace.” Frank believes you need a unique space or place to draw out creativity and ingenuity. He wrote his latest book in his one-of-a-kind glass treehouse cabin along the Pigeon River in Canton, North Carolina. Today, Frank and his wife, Nilsa, split their time between their home in South Florida and their glass cabin along the river. They enjoy visiting their daughter, Laura, in New York City, where she started and runs StrataBrand, a brand strategy firm.
