Faron Connelly is a U.S. Coast Guard veteran, rural property owner, author, and publisher with a lifelong interest in self-reliance, gardening, land stewardship, and emergency preparedness.

After serving six years in the Coast Guard as a Radioman, Faron developed a practical approach to problem-solving, planning, and preparedness that continues to influence his work today. Over the years, he has written on topics ranging from vegetable gardening and self-sufficiency to rural property ownership and wildfire readiness.

Living in Central Oregon, Faron understands both the rewards and responsibilities of owning acreage in wildfire-prone landscapes.
