Faith McCune’s first dog was a gift from her mother after her father passed away. She was eight at the time and Prince helped her cope with her loss and brought joy into her heart again. Prince was her best friend and confidante. Her passion for dogs was forged from her first dog and grew over the decades with each new dog she raised. Duffy’s story speaks of how love through the best of times and worst of challenges can produce the most amazing results—if not completely for him, the next one who comes along. Corrie was the beneficiary of Duffy’s sage advice. She listened well. He would’ve been proud. Faith is an author and founder of Duffy’s World Inc., a place where dog owners and dog lovers gather to share and learn more about their furry companions. She encourages people to seek greater understanding of dogs and their behaviors so they have happy “forever” homes. Faith believes that if you open your heart to a dog, you will renew the joy in your own life and ultimately share it with others. Faith was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She and her husband, Bernard, moved to San Diego, California, in 1984. Through all of Duffy’s teachings, his sister, Corrie, and Faith found the world of canine sports together and competed in agility and obedience since 2006. A new puppy is expected to join the family in 2014.
