Evalyn Linah moves between worlds of melody and story, a children’s author, illustrator, and classical singer whose journey began in the Philippines where she was born and blossomed in the Washington, D.C. area. Raised on music she spent her early years and college days immersed in classical training, her artistry unfolding note by note. Her voice found its audience with the release of her EP Pop Opera, and her moving rendition of You’ll Never Walk Alone rose to #3 on Japan’s classical iTunes chart, holding its place for six consecutive weeks. After experiencing profound family tragedy, her creative path shifted, leading her from the stage to the page. Through writing and illustration, she began crafting stories that hold space for healing and hope. The Only Star, The Chosen Light, her debut picture book, marks the beginning of that new chapter, weaving themes of self-confidence, friendship, and courage into luminous storytelling. Away from her work, Evalyn finds joy in life’s quieter rhythms, spending time with family, painting, hiking, and embracing the magic of musical theater. Through every note and every story, she seeks to inspire wonder, spark imagination, and remind others that even in the darkest moments, light can still be chosen.
