Erin Lucero is an author, architect, and nature lover from Colorado. She loves to turn dreams into realities. Her non-fiction book AYNI and her children’s books all share a common theme – the importance of finding our inner light, embracing adventure, and rediscovering the magic in the world. Erin graduated with honors from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Architecture and a minor in communications and has had a lifelong love of writing and creative expression. She's been writing short stories and poems since she was young, and now tells the stories she wished she had been able to tell her young self. Her book Quest for the Phoenix, a Book Life Review editors' pick, tells the story of a 10-year-old girl choosing love and support over fear as she joins two gnomes on an adventure of a lifetime to save a dying phoenix. The sequel, The North Passage, continues the story of Tori and the gnomes, finding inspiration and hope in a world full of challenges. Erin believes in the power of storytelling as a way of turning complex ideas into magical adventures. Her writing voice has been called warm and approachable, like talking to an old friend. Her non-fiction works, Ayni and Wisdom of Hummingbird, are a personal journey and a road map to finding self-love and harmony through the teachings of yoga and shamanism. She has also published a children's book called Hudson and the Magic Crow, which teaches children the big impact humans have in the world, and how what we do matters. She cares deeply for the planet and making it a better place for all living things.
