Emily Anne Jordan is the author and creative force behind The War Queens: Extraordinary Women Who Ruled the Battlefield. A native of Houston, Texas, she grew up playing basketball in her hometown of Marietta, Georgia and is currently attending the University of Kentucky, where she speaks out on public health issues, is active in her sorority chapter, interns in research on the opioid crisis, and studies nursing. The War Queens: Extraordinary Women Who Ruled the Battlefield is Emily's first book. "Giving the great women of history a voice has strengthened my own, and I want to share that with men and women of all ages," she says. When not writing or studying, Emily is cheering for her Wildcats, painting, spending time with her family, and working on her next book.
