Emilie Le Beau Lucchesi, PhD is the author of "Ugly Prey: An Innocent Woman and the Death Sentence that Scandalized Jazz Age Chicago" (Chicago Review Press, 2017) and "This is Really War: The Incredible True Story of a Navy Nurse POW in the Occupied Philippines" (May 1, 2019, Chicago Review Press). She is the co-author with Kathy Kleiner Rubin of "A Light in the Dark: Surviving More Than Ted Bundy," (October 3, 2023, Chicago Review Press). She is a regular contributor to Discover Magazine. Her work has also run in The New York Times, The Atlantic, and the nation's largest newspapers. She has contributed more than 800 stories to the Chicago Tribune.
