ELLEN E. HEINEMAN COLEMIRE

Colemire is an author of techno thriller fiction informed by a real-world career at the highest levels of military and corporate strategy development, national security, operational and systems analysis.
Long before she began crafting fictional plots, Ellen earned recognition inside the complex, fast-moving environments where national security, government affairs, and international intelligence operations intersect. As an officer in the Navy, she worked in operations and contingency planning on a joint staff in Nebraska. At the Pentagon, she designed, executed and analyzed strategic and tactical war game simulations for the Joint Staff and in Programs and Systems Analysis on the Navy Staff. Among other honors, Ellen was recognized with a prestigious White House Fellowship, during which she served with the U.S. Delegation to the United Nations as well as the Nuclear Arms Reduction Agency.
After her military service, Ellen applied her expertise in organizational diagnostics, strategic ’war games‘, and strategy development to the corporate world, advising global aerospace, financial services, nuclear power generation and eight other industries on leadership, communications, restructuring, and crisis management. Today, as the CEO of Executive Consulting, Inc., she continues to coach high-level leaders through complex organizational shifts.
Drawing directly on her in-depth understanding of federal agencies, institutional politics, and strategy development as well as personal loss, Ellen brings an unmatched authenticity to her fiction.
Ellen grew up in Connersville, Indiana in a large loving and laughing family. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame and is a past President of the White House Fellows Alumni Association. A widow, she and her dog Sophie live in Texas.
