Elisa Ellen is a popular German ebook author. Her debut novel "Die Queen macht Ferien" (also available in English with the title: "The Queen's Summer Holiday") immediately figured in the German Top 100 Amazon bestseller list in the summer of 2012 and remained there for many weeks. All her further novels have met with equal success in Germany, among them mainly Woman's Romance novels: "Reispudding mit Zimt" dealing about a girl who follows her career as a cook in picturesque Aldeburgh, England, "Die englische Malerin" that takes place on a tiny Danish island, "Ade verhasstes Apfelgrün", "Kristins Weg", "Kiras Kreuzfahrt" and "Verliebt in einen Gentleman", currently published by Amazon Crossing with the title: "In Love with a Gentleman", telling the wry and faintly ironical story of lively Lea, who, literally blind for love of her dream man, needs some time until she realizes that the true gentleman was just around the corner all the time. Elisa Ellen believes in depicting stories in which her heroines go through a phase of personal development, coming out wiser and maturer than they originally were. How this happens is described with humor and a lot of psychological insight, making her characters sometimes irritating, but always lovable. Elisa Ellen also has published a series of three crime novels taking place on the Spanish island of La Gomera where she regularily spends a few weeks every year. As the daughter of an international scientist, Elisa Ellen spent part of her life in Zürich, then near Peekskill, New York, where she went to school up to seventh grade, before returning to Germany where she studied to be a teacher at Bochum University. Today, she lives in a town near Hannover, is happily married and the mother of four grownup children.
