Eilish Fisher lives in the mountains of Co. Wicklow, Ireland with her partner, son and two dogs. Eilish’s debut novel, Fia and the Last Snow Deer was awarded the An Post Book Award in the senior children’s category, the KPMG Children’s Books Ireland Award, the Éilis Dillon Award and The Week Junior Book Award in Poetry. Eilish received both a Laureate na Nóg mentorship and Words Ireland mentorship as well as a full Literary Bursary Award from the Arts Council of Ireland. She holds a Masters degree in early Irish literature and history and a PhD in medieval literature from Maynooth University.
