Egathentale, author of The Simulacrum series, grew up in post-communist Hungary, on a steady diet of both Western and Eastern media, fed by the country's unexpectedly decent broadband internet services. This unholy mixture of mediums, genres, and styles created a dry underbrush of creativity waiting for that one small spark of motivation, which came in the form of a year's worth of terribly dull daily commutes perfect for writing the time away. After switching jobs, and months of dogged persuasion by his best friend, Egathentale decided to try his luck and publish his first book. Now, he's doing his best to balance his day-job as a social worker in a nursing home and his creative work, finding both of them tiring yet also fulfilling in these difficult times.
