Dwight Kopp was born and raised in Zambia, Africa. By the age of fourteen, he already had fourteen different countries stamped in his passport. He is an author, teacher, reformer and father of five. He enjoys running barefoot, building things, and spending time with his family. When the weather is just right for smoking his pipe, he can blow an (almost) perfect smoke ring—and send another one through it. (Now that’s cool.) He may not have the swanky car, but he got the girl. Dwight and Doe have been married for over thirty years, which makes him feel like a pretty rich man. One day he hopes to build his own house, thatch his own roof, and brew his own beer. In the meantime, he might be found playing the didgeridoo or the piano. His interests run to the odd (not excluding Mongolian throat singing), but he’s okay with that. Dwight writes stories shaped by the places he’s lived, the people he’s met, and the questions that won’t leave him alone.
