Dr Louise Newson is a GP and menopause specialist and holds an Advanced Menopause Specialist certificate with the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare and the British Menopause Society. Louise’s first book, Menopause Manual, published by Haynes Publishing in 2019, was an Amazon bestseller. Louise is the Founder and Director of Newson Health Ltd, the largest menopause clinic in the world, which provides holistic care and treatments for perimenopausal and menopausal women. She is also the Founder of the not-for-profit company, Newson Health Research and Education and Founder and Trustee for The Menopause Charity. Louise continually strives to produce clear and evidence-based free content for women about the perimenopause and menopause on the menopausedoctor.co.uk website and on the award winning free “balance” menopause support app. She works regularly with a range of organisations to provide advice regarding menopause in the workplace, collaborates with charities and professional bodies and has made numerous appearances on radio and television to raise awareness of the needs of menopausal women. Louise also works within public and private healthcare settings to improve menopause education and access to evidence-based prescribing of HRT.
