International best-selling author, Dr. Liz Bataille (pseudonym), was born in the Mid-Atlantic region of the US - a 3rd G American born to Irish, Scottish, English and German immigrants. For thirty-five years she worked in the helping professions: teaching high school and college, and working as a leader in the field of laboratory medicine. She has published extensively in her professional field under her real name, and has now published her first book, an international best-seller, about her private struggles growing up and living in abusive environments: LIFE LAUNCH! Book One. By sharing her story of survival and how she managed to thrive beyond her real life traumas, she hopes to encourage others to do the same: break the cycle of abuse, break free of abusive relationships, speak out against abuse and associated stigma(s), and to continue to search for healing, meaning and contentment in life. Dr. Liz is currently writing full-time and working as a professor and medical professional part-time.
