My name is Dr. John T. Shokoff, DVM and I am the owner of All Pets Veterinary Home Care, a Veterinary House Call Practice serving the Syracuse & Binghamton Areas of Upstate New York. We are a family-owned & operated practice in which I provide the Veterinary expertise and my wife, Alicia, manages the practice. Together we have been providing the members of our "All Pets Family" with the highest quality Veterinary Care in the comfort of their own homes since 2008. And we have the greatest patients & clients in the world! When not practicing, I enjoy shifting into "family mode" and spending time with my wife, Alicia, outside of the office, where our two sons, Tom (10 years old) & Matthew (8 years old), keep us far busier than the thousands of pets who make up The All Pets Family! In addition to schlepping the boys back & forth to hockey tournaments, martial arts classes & football games (their favorite sport, which I was lucky enough to coach this year), we also enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible. We hike, ride bikes, geocache & roast marshmallows in the fire pit in our back yard all Spring, Summer & Fall until the horrendous Syracuse Winter inevitably arrives each year and drives us inside. There we still roast marshmallows while hovering in front of the fireplace and swear that we are finally going to take advantage of our locale and learned to ski. So far we've lived in Upstate New York for 8 YEARS (since moving here from New Jersey) and have not gone skiing once... I also enjoy writing about everything from pet care to marketing. While the Veterinary Medicine topics are an obvious choice, I also own a Real Estate Investment Company & a coaching/consulting practice for medical professionals and I love to teach others what I've learned while starting, growing & managing those businesses. I do so in the form of blog posts, newsletters, articles and, of most interest to you since you are here...Amazon Kindle books/ebooks! I have only recently started writing fiction but I do so under a pseudonym as, while I REALLY LOVE IT, I am not so good at it yet and do not want ANYONE critiquing me just yet! Not even my wife has read my fictional stories! Hopefully as I get better my confidence will grow and I will eventually feel free enough to put my ACTUAL name on one of my fiction titles! But that's probably going to be a while...for now I hope you enjoy my non-fiction as I make it available!
