*“I refuse to let another generation inherit a divided church.” – Dr. Ebony Taylor Dr. Ebony Taylor is a passionate and unwavering voice for racial reconciliation within the body of Christ. She earned her Doctorate in Theology from Louisiana Baptist Theological Seminary, following her undergraduate and graduate studies at Union University. Rooted deeply in God’s Word, Dr. Ebony dedicates her life to building a unified, multi-ethnic church — the very church for which Christ died. Her heart beats for discipling women of all ages, equipping them to understand how God’s beloved community empowers them to thrive in their purpose and walk in His power. In January 2023, alongside her husband, Pastor Chris, Dr. Ebony founded God & People Church — also known as The G.A.P Jackson. Married for over two decades, Dr. Ebony and Pastor Chris find deep joy in mentoring other couples, helping them build vibrant, flourishing marriages. Beyond ministry, Dr. Ebony has developed a growing love for the theatre and the arts. She works at The Ned in Jackson, Tennessee, and has delighted audiences with standout performances, portraying roles such as Effie White in Dreamgirls (2023), Deloris Van Cartier in Sister Act (2021), Motormouth Maybelle in Hairspray (2022), Grandma Rosie in The Wedding Singer (2023), and the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella. Dr. Ebony Taylor lives as a testimony to the truth that unity in the church is not merely an ideal — it is a divine calling, one she is determined to see fulfilled.*
