Douglas Volk is a veteran corporate executive who writes dark thrillers that are “hard to put down” (Maine Sunday Telegram). The author of three novels in The Morpheus Series (The Morpheus Conspiracy, The Surgeon’s Curse, and Destiny Returns), he is also the former CEO of the award-winning Volk Packaging Corporation. One of the most interesting things about Volk’s approach to novel-writing is the way he uses the tools of business to build his thrillers from the ground up. After assembling a team of specialists with first-hand knowledge of sleep science, psychology, forensic investigative techniques and urban police procedures, he taps into the team’s expertise throughout the writing and editing process. In recent years this approach has helped him craft two books that have been widely praised for their credibility and realistic detail. Douglas Volk resides in Maine with his wife of more than 47 years. They have two children and five grandchildren. Says the hard-working author, who recently published the third and final volume in his paranormal trilogy: “I learned a long time ago that success depends on getting all the input you can from other people, and then pushing your own creativity to the max!”
