Domyo Burk is a Soto Zen priest and teacher. She started Zen practice in 1996 and was ordained as a Zen monk in 2001, by Gyokuko Carlson, at Dharma Rain Zen Center in Portland Oregon. After spending 7 years in full-time residential practice, Domyo received Dharma Transmission from Gyokuko.
In 2011, Domyo founded Bright Way Zen Center (http://brightwayzen.org/) in a suburb of Portland. She currently serves at Guiding Teacher and Executive Director at Bright Way Zen, and also produces the Zen Studies Podcast (http://zenstudiespodcast.com/). Domyo lives in Beaverton, Oregon, with her husband, two dogs, and two parrots.
