Diane R. Button is a successful author, entrepreneur, end-of-life doula, and mother of three. She is a founding partner of the Bay Area End-of-Life Doula Alliance in Northern California, and a lead instructor for the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine End-of-Life Doula Professional Certificate Program. She holds a Master’s in Counseling Psychology, is INELDA-certified, and served as a board member of the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance. Diane has been working in end-of-life care for over a decade and writing about purpose and meaning in life for nearly two decades. Her master’s research and thesis, entitled “The 7 Components of a Meaningful Life,” became the genesis for her latest book, "Dear Death, - Finding Meaning in Life, Peace in Death, and Joy in an Ordinary Day." It is both a practical guide for end-of-life workers and an inspirational read for anyone wanting to answer some of life’s most important questions. Diane’s earlier book, "The Letter Box," is a memoir and legacy project, recounting Diane and her husband’s triumph over tragedy, inspiring others with a meaningful way to leave a legacy for those they love. "The Letter Box" has been published in five languages and is available worldwide. She also co-authored a two books series with her three children, entitled "Special Delivery – A Cookbook for Food & Life." Diane has been featured on "Connecting Point," "The Hour of Power," and national TV and radio programs. Diane is the inspiration for and the Director of “Dream of Better World,” a non-profit, founded in 2008, with a two-fold mission: to support disadvantaged children and families around the world, and to inspire everyone to realize, “You’re never too young, or too old, to make a difference!” Diane lives in Northern California with her husband, Mark, and her adorable rescue dog, Luna.
