Devonne Atwood was born in the 1950's in Canada. She moved to Asia after the Vietnam war and lived in Japan, China and Singapore for over 20 years. She gained a lot of knowledge about design, minimalistic living and even health while working as a interior designer and design consultant with many corporations, small businesses and private people.

Today, Atwood writes books, articles and lectureres on topics ranging from interior design and minimalistic living and lifestyle to health and wellbeing, always with the minimalistic mindset and knowledge she built over the years as the starting point.

Atwood believes that minimalism and simplicity is more needed than ever in these days of complexity and information overload. Atwood has since more than ten years back lived in the rural area of Toronto Canada with her family and three dogs.
