Almost as soon as Devika Fernando could write, she imagined stories and poems. After finishing her education in Germany and returning to her roots in Sri Lanka, she became a writer. Having lived in Germany and in Sri Lanka with her husband has made her experience the best (and the worst) of two totally different worlds – something that influences her writing. Her trademark is writing deeply emotional, closed-door romances, often with international settings and/or multicultural couples. She draws inspiration from everyone and everything in life. Apart from her contemporary and paranormal romance novels, she has co-written a romantic suspense book series with Mike Wells. What Devika loves most about being an author is creating new worlds and sending her protagonists on a journey with ups and downs that leaves them changed. When she’s not writing, she’s reading or thinking about writing, eating too much chocolate, taking nature photographs, and playing with her cat and dogs.
