Deb has been drawing and creating since she was a little girl. As a child her mother said she was 'off with the fairies' in her own little dream world, dancing about in dress ups and talking to imaginary friends. Deb is inspired by the joy and wonder-filled dreamy moments of the everyday. Her work has been described as whimsical, carrying you off to fantastic places and worlds. She was previously a teacher and taught overseas, travelling to many interesting places. She also completed a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, majoring in Illustration. She recently illustrated the What Zola Did series from award winning author Melina Marchetta, published through Penguin Books Australia. Deb’s art can be found in picture books, greetings cards, crockery, pet goodies and more.
