Dawn Wightman Perrault is an Indie author from the Finger Lakes Region, Central New York. Semi-retired from a 30-year civil service career as a Sr. Stenographer / Newsletter Editor at her alma mater, Dawn pursued a Bachelor of Science in Business, Management, and Economics, post-career. In addition to writing Children’s Picture Books borrowed from events in her own life, Dawn is a Marketing Enthusiast which takes her in a multitude of interesting directions, a guest contributor to her local newspaper, and serves as a Notary Public. When the cause strikes a chord, she volunteers her time on projects whose outcome makes a significant difference in her community. Dawn’s debut Children’s Picture Book has been nominated for a 2024 CNY Book Award, and she has been nominated "Best Local Author" of the Region through The Citizen/AuburnPub. Dawn is a lifelong advocate for people with special needs, having worked extensively in the human services sector in later life while caring for her quadriplegic son. In Dawn’s free time, she enjoys gardening, canning (self-taught), cooking/barbequing, crafting, playing the piano, listening to vinyl records, and baton twirling. She continues to reside within the school district of her hometown with her three adult children nearby.
