David and Elizabeth Handy are originally from California, where David worked at a large non-profit rescue animal center and Elizabeth was a paralegal. They've made Costa Rica their second home and enjoy the Pura Vida lifestyle the country offers. Their love of the country and seeing many bewildered tourists helped guide them toward writing their first book "Handy Costa Rica Visitor Guide." They followed the Kindle and paperback versions with an Audible edition of the book. "We wished we had a book like that when we first visited Costa Rica," said David. "We spent half of our first vacation just learning about how things work down here." "I thought there was a void of books like one we wrote," said Elizabeth. "It's something you can read on the plane down to give you a head-start on your vacation." When the two aren't relaxing or exploring in Costa Rica, they travel.
